Terms of Service
Effective October 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ibrahim Bajwa, doing business as Hikma ("Hikma", "we", "us"). They govern your use of Hikma's websites, apps and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, to our Acceptable Use Policy, and you acknowledge our Privacy Policy.
If you use Hikma for an organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization and confirm you have authority to bind it. If your organization has a signed agreement with Hikma, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.
1. What Hikma is
Hikma is an AI agent that works as you. You connect the tools you already use, such as email, calendars, documents, chat and websites you sign in to. Hikma then reads, writes and takes actions in them with your access, either when you ask or as part of background work you turn on. Hikma uses AI models from third-party providers to decide what to do.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Give accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly at security@tryhikma.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
- In an organization workspace, administrators can manage members, plans and settings. Content created in that workspace may be visible to and controlled by the organization.
3. Hikma acts on your behalf
This section matters most, because Hikma does things, not just says them.
- You authorize the actions. By connecting an account or signing in to a website in Hikma's browser, you authorize Hikma to access that account and take actions in it on your behalf: those you request, those you approve, and those that are part of background work you have enabled.
- You are responsible for those actions. Actions Hikma takes at your direction are treated as yours, including messages it sends, files it changes, forms it submits and purchases it makes. You must have the right to use every account you connect, and you must follow the terms of the services those accounts belong to.
- Supervise appropriately. Hikma can misunderstand instructions, act on wrong or incomplete information, or make mistakes. Review important work before relying on it, and keep a human in the loop for decisions with legal, financial, medical, employment or similar significance. You can interrupt or stop a run at any time.
- Background work. When you connect a tool, Hikma may read and index it on a recurring schedule to build your Memory, look into things that seem to need your attention, and prepare suggested work, such as a draft reply, for you to review. You can stop background work for a tool by revoking Hikma's access to it.
4. Connected services
Third-party services you connect, such as Google, Microsoft, Slack, Salesforce, Notion and any website you sign in to, are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. A change or outage on their side may limit what Hikma can do. We store the credentials, tokens and browser sessions needed to act for you, encrypted, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke Hikma's access at any time from the connected service.
5. Your content
- Your content stays yours. "Your Content" means what you give the Service (prompts, files, instructions and data from connected services) and what the Service produces for you (responses, documents, messages and other outputs). As between you and Hikma, you own Your Content.
- Our licence to it is narrow. You give Hikma a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content only to provide, secure and maintain the Service for you, including sending it to the AI model providers and other subprocessors listed on our Subprocessors page.
- No training. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
- Outputs. AI output can be inaccurate and may not be unique; other users may receive similar output. You are responsible for checking output and for having the rights to the content you provide.
6. Acceptable use
You must use the Service in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms and covers what Hikma does at your direction as well as what you do directly.
7. Plans, credits and payment
- Plans. Hikma offers a free plan and paid plans. Each plan includes an allowance of credits, which measure the work Hikma does for you. Current plans, allowances and how often they refresh are shown on our pricing page and in Settings.
- Payment. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Purchased credits. Credits you buy separately do not expire while your account is open. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Refunds. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide otherwise. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the related credits are removed.
- Changes. We may change prices or allowances. We will give you notice before a price change applies to your paid plan, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Prices exclude taxes, which you are responsible for.
- Non-payment. We may suspend paid features if a payment fails.
8. Hikma's rights
The Service, including its software, design and documentation, belongs to Hikma and its licensors. These Terms do not give you any rights in it beyond using the Service as allowed here. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Hikma at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings › Account; that cancels any subscription immediately and forfeits remaining credits. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use creates risk or harm to others or to Hikma, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. After your account ends, we delete Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections 3, 5, 8 and 10 to 14 survive termination.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hikma disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be accurate, or that actions Hikma takes will have the result you intended.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- Hikma is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.
- Hikma's total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid Hikma in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$100.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory, even if Hikma was told the damage was possible. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Hikma against third-party claims, and the resulting losses and reasonable costs, arising from Your Content, from actions taken at your direction through the Service, or from your breach of these Terms or of the terms of a service you connected. If you are a consumer, this applies only to the extent the law allows.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections of the law where you live that cannot be waived by contract.
14. General
- Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will give notice in the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change.
- Whole agreement. These Terms, together with the policies they link to and any order form or signed agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Hikma about the Service.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- Other terms. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Export. You may not use the Service in breach of export-control or sanctions laws.
15. Text messages (SMS)
If you link your phone number, Hikma will text you about the work you ask it to do: replies, questions, and alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Contact support@tryhikma.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. How to opt in, and what you will receive, is described on our Text Messages (SMS) page.
